Yo, it's 2015---and I've got to say: Jazz Cartier (aka Jacuzzi La Fleur) has gotta be the coolest rapper heading into the new year. La Fleur is one of the most energetic (Set Fire), aggressive (Switch/Downtown), and suave (Count On Me) motherf**kers out in Toronto right now. Like, dude even has a song called "Rose Quartz / Like, Crazy" that's inspired by Toro y Moi's song and Anton Yelchin, Felicity Jones, and Jennifer Lawrence's film. The cohesiveness of the song itself is pretty much perfect with the transition between "Rose Quartz" to "Like, Crazy". The only thing that hypes me up even more is the transition in "Switch / The Downtown Cliche." The second half of that song goes. That's the first video up top. The second video is "Count On Me" and that's why I said he's a suave motherfucker (no asterisks this time). And finally, the third video down low is "Set Fire" and it's basically on that "we're the shit" type of vibe. Last thing, I'm pretty sure he has a project coming out soon called "Marauding in Paradise" and he's a part of this crew/collective called Get Home Safe (Derek Wise, Drew Howard+others)... More on all of that later.
